Financial Analyst [F/M/X] [Romania]

About the job:

  • Develop a good knowledge of the client’s business, processes, tools, organization structure and contracts.
  • Efficiently use and update both client’s internal systems and Valuement tool.
  • Link and corroborate data from multiple sources (accounting, logistic, commercial) and from multiple formats (databases, reports, contracts, e-mails). Understand and interpret client’s electronic data, performing complex analysis in order to identify the likely causes of loss of income (double payments, unregistered credit notes, unapplied sales allowance).
  • Review and analyse contracts, commercial agreements, paperwork, electronic documents. Inspect and evaluate client’s financial information including buyers’ files, purchase orders, invoices for identify potential revenue leakage.
  • Detect anomalies, investigate other potential sources of revenue leakage, propose course of action.
  • Actively contact vendors as part of the claim production process; independently produce written correspondences to vendor inquiries with the scope of obtaining validation of the uncollected amounts and reconciling the financial differences. Meet vendor representatives (KA, etc.) to discuss outstanding amounts.
  • Communicate with the client’s suppliers for follow-ups regarding the collection of the leaked income.
  • Provide periodic reports and other feedback to Valuement management or direct responsible related to progress and any issues affecting client relationship.
  • Identify weaknesses in the client’s internal procedures by analysing client’s data.
  • Present and discuss results from analysis with the senior analysts and Audit manager, with the client and the relevant third-party vendors. Meet periodically with client contact(s) to provide information on findings and progress.
  • Participate to internal meetings and also client discussions related to process improvement and Valuement’s reports and deliverables.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 1-2 of professional experience or internship in client facing, Audit / Banking / Retail / Finance with a degree in finance, accounting, management, or management control.
  • Experience in Retail or FMCG is considered a plus.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Romanian and English.
  • Open-minded, critical thinker with problem-solving abilities, motivated to improve.
